Rules-
1. The tournament will consist of knockouts.
2. Playing Rules :
Cricket in Ripple will adhere to the T20 rules proposed by ICC, with the following modifications:
-Each match will comprise overs 15 overs per innings
-Powerplay will consist of 5 overs during each inning , with a maximum of two fielders allowed outside the 30 yard inner circle and a maximum of 5 fielders thereafter
-Each bowler can deliver a maximum of 4 overs.
3.Player Eligibility :
-Only MBBS students upto intern batch are eligible to participate.
-In exceptional circumstances , a maximum of 1 player from paramedical courses of the same institute may participate.
4.Match Management :
-In case of delayed start or suspension of play , umpires have the authority to reduce the number of overs for each side.
-Teams must wear white jerseys and arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled match time
-Umpire's and match referee's decisions are final
-No team shall argue with umpires under any circumstances, as it may lead to team registration cancellation and disciplinary actions.
5.Match Results :
-If a match is abandoned ,the team with a better net run rate progresses in the knockouts.
-The decision to continue or reschedule a match due to adverse weather condition rests with the tournament organizers.
-In case of a tie, the result will be decided by a super over following ICC rules.
6. Player Safety and Substitutions:
-In the event of a player being injured during a match, prompt treatment should be provided and substitutions may be allowed as per cricketing rules
7.Conduct and Disputes :
-Teams are expected to maintain discipline, cooperate with the organizing commitee and match officials and accept their decisions .Any discrepancies will be resolved by the Ripple Commitee whose decision will be final
8.Rule Changes:
-The tournament commitee reserves the right to make changes to the rules or format if necessary for the smooth conduct of the tournament.
