Poetry is the expression of the essence of one's soul and a tool for relieving poets from all day's burden.

So here we "PARWAAZ",the poetry society of UCMS presents to you,

A blackout poetry event - MYSTERY : A poet's ode.

A chance to showcase your talents and drift away in the world of poetry, but in a really unique way that's full of mystery.

Let's uncover the beauty of blackout poetry as we transform the writings of Munshi premchand and Shakespeare into an extraordinary verse by selectively 'blacking out' certain words or phrases.

So let's dive together into a sea of words, where each one is a sparkling gem waiting to be discovered.

Date - 10th May 2024

Time - 2-6 PM

Venue - LT 2

Prizes: Rs. 1000*2 and Rs. 500*2

Registration fees - Rs 100 per person

Rules -

The poet will choose any 5 numbers of their choice out of a range of numbers.

These numbers will correspond to 5 pages which they will be provided

(For poets writing in English- works of William Shakespeare and for poets writing in Hindi works of Munchi Premchand)

They will be given 45 minutes/1 hour to create a blackout poetry out of those pages

They will then be asked to present their poetries in front of judges

Separate judgement will be done for the blackout poetry itself and for the presentation
